The link bellow is to the BBC news article about the victims of the terrorist attack that happened this Wednesday.

As far as I am aware of, the attacker, who's name I will not share so he will never be remembered, drove a van/truck on the sidewalk of the bridge closest to the Parliament building. After driving across the bridge and eventually stopping, started attacking a police officer with a knife. The officer did die from his wounds. The attacker was, as far as I am aware of, was shot and taken into custody.
This entire attack is horrible and extremely scary. For me what is more scary is that there was no really feasible way for this attack to have been prevented without infringing upon the people's rights even more. The government can't ban cars or trucks. The economy would completely collapse. So just give the drivers a background check in order to get a drivers license, Right? Wrong, for a few reasons. These being that you not having a license doesn't instantly make a person unable to drive a car, further more, you can very easily make a fake ID with your own picture and everything. The only issue is when you were to give it to an officer, they would know it is a fake. However, that doesn't really matter when you are already planning on dying in your attack. You don't have to worry about having a fake ID when you're dead.
There are countless news sources covering this story right now. If you are interested in reading more, I would encourage you to look up the London terrorist attack on Google.
